Finding one in good condition that's not priced more then an aftermarket 1 piece is not easy.

I finally found one from a 1997 SC for $80 shipped. It's in mint condition.

maybe you should have gone for a 1piece aftermarket then?

Bleh, I was one day late getting the 3 to 4 bolt adapter for free (im still crying in my sleep because of that, its $250 bucks now). If I did get that, yes I'd have a 1 piece, but since I didnt, I found another good stocker.

I doubt I'll ever get a transmission strong enough to ever go 30psi on my turbo before I sell it.

ah, just didnt seem worth risking to me. Of course, around here in WA theres two driveshaft shops that could easily make me a custom one for about $300. different story for you.
