so in mid 2007 i picked up my first supra...not knowing what i was really doing to my life :biglaugh:...but this is about what she looked like under the hood when i got it home

after my dad shook his head and told me that he didnt know what to do with me i went to work for. i pulled the motor and cleaned and cleaned and cleaned, here is a pic of the bay no motor

so after cleaning the bottom end and the head i put new bearings in it and new gaskets (by tsrm spec...only later to find it wasn't a good idea)

so that was the first go around then i came up with the GRAND idea to do a NA-t

first bit with that...then got coil packs and also a 3000 V-TEC pipe hells yea :biglaugh:

then bgh :biglaugh:

so after the bgh and putting a new mhg gasket and ARP's, i drove it (no joke) 5 houses and back and parked it for 1 day...and someone dumped a 1j deal i couldn't refuse in my lap :icon_bigg haha o the joy.. well that went in and this is how she sits as of now...

this car has almost killed me a few times on the way (no joke) but i would have to say the fun i have had in it has made up for just about every bit of the pain...o yea and the money it has sucked away is all worth it when those tires let lose :evil2:

lol well the hard top (this car) is mostly going to stay a stock 1j because it puts out enough power for what it is needed for (drifting) and i just got an 88 sunroof that i am build a 1.5j for haha

so some updates the car is running nice back on stock ecu and stock injectors, shouldn't have any problems with emissions now lol.

update drove the car to work today ran good, only one thing i through code 42 (Vehicle Speed Sensor Signal) witch ive never had before. i looked at the tsrm and it says one of the three things Vehicle speed sensor circuit, Vehicle speed sensor, ECU. Now the car runs fine no cuts not in limp nothing but the light on the dash...so i am going to take a shot in the dark and say the speed sensor is to blame, ill check it out tomorrow in the morning. but other then that it ran smoth no problems so crossing my fingers it will pass emissions soon.

and then home... I figure around 250 miles total today...lots of seat time but every second was fun as hell!

thanks, as of right now next on the list is solid motor mounts, poly transmission mount, rear ST sway bar, new poly bushings front and rear, solid subframe bushings front and rear, mod my rack for more angle, then start on the cage...should help stiffen the car up a bit lol
