I was on my way to work, proceeding down a through street @ about 25-30mph. All of a sudden, there was a 98 camry in front of me. I had no time to hit the brakes, so I did what I could to minimize the damage. Eye witnesses said she never even paused at her stop sign. I never saw her because of a large dumpster (the kind used on construction sites) placed on my side of the street before the intersection she came out of. I was furious, but realized it was a woman, so I couldn't beat her ass. She didn't speak english, and I'm afraid that the insurance info she gave to the police may not be valid. She left in an ambulance, even though she appeared to be fine. Her husband showed up later, and wanted to start some shit. I told him it was her fault because she didn't stop and he said that she didn't have to. The cops told him to go check on his wife in the hospital, and to stop trying to instigate something, but he just hung out on the corner watching me. I had the car towed to my house, since I want to fix it myself. There appears to be no engine or subframe damage, just body and radiator damage. I'll know more after the adjuster comes over and looks at it.

Make their insurance pay a body shop for the work. It doesnt look like anything super imprtant got messed up. The frame under the fender is a bitch but you can cut and weld a new one. The whole front of our cars are made to crumple so the frame shouldnt be messed up past the windshield.

I hit a telephone pole at around 50 dead on and didnt take any frame damage past the windshield. just cut and welded a new front on, took about a week.

I'm going to do what I can. I have a welder if anything needs welded. If anyone has both front fenders that they would be willing to give me, I'll payshipping and a little extra if you want. Also looking for all the crash bar stuff and a drivers headlight. lol

Any differences in model year for the fenders? I'll be in touch once I know what the insurance people are going to do.

My wife works for a chiropractic office, so I get free care from them. I went to see them yesterday about 2 hours after it happened. They started an accident file on me, just in case anything develops later. Right now I feel ok, just stiff shoulders.

It turns out, her apartment is on the corner of the intersection where she pulled out from, so I know where she lives if I need to resort to mafia style collection tactics, lol.

I guess she was expecting to see one of these to tell her when to stop:

Once the insurance guys are done, I'll tear her apart and find out for sure what needs to be replaced. I've been looking at some front ends, I'm liking the greddy-style and the cfx nose, but haven't decided for sure.

Ins. company is going to total the car. Guareenteed. That sucks though. Hopefully you have uninsured motorist coverage on your car. One of the reasons I carry it is because here in socal we have so many people that cant read english, dont have a liscense, dont have insurance, and most of all DONT HAVE A F'IN GREENCARD to even be here!!!

my supra got in an accident, $2400 worth of damage. They didn't total it, according to the adjusters program i could go all the way up to $3300 before they would consider it a loss.
