Hey all, as some of you know I'm getting ready to replace my clutch. I have done this once before and since then I have become aware of somethings the I probably should have replaced the first time but didn't. So I thought it would help others (and me) that are doing this proceedure to compile a list of things to replace/do when replacing your clutch.

1.disc
2.pressure plate and PP bolts
3.pilot bearing
4.throw out bearing
5.replace/resurface flywheel,new FW bolts
continue please!

the starter.....

hah! i think he ment usual maintanence when replacing the clutch.

replace the pressure plate, along with the flywheel bolts and clutch cover (pressure plate) bolts. i think those get overlooked too much (though ive reused mine a few times now... :thumbsdow )

pilot bearing, TO bearing and ummmm what else? any seals that are leaking. be sure to clean the tranny input shaft then LIGHTELY re-grease it.

Rear main, even if you DON'T need it. Better to spend $20 now and add 10 minutes to the job than spend $20 and 8 hours to change it later.

then in that case make sure that if you remove the seal retainer to replace the rear main that you clean and reapply the FIPG on the oil pan correctly so all your engine oil dosnt leak into the bellhousing...

You dont need to replace it every time you change the clutch... some people's clutches last longer than others. If you're like me, the seal would have barely gotten a chance to seal anything. :icon_roll
