Hey guys,

I just wanted to know what things that I can get rid of in my engine bay that I don't need. I have already gotten rid of the Catch can, EGR, fuel pulsation dampner, I wanted to get rid of the Cruise, but don't know what else that I need to take off with it. Anything that I can get rid of I would like to. I have the Lex afm with an afpr aswell, custom pipe for turbo to lex aswell with the bov venting to atmosphere.

Thanks

You had a catch can on the supra? That wasn't stock BTW. If you don't know the functions of what you want to take off, like the EGR most likely. It's best to leave it be.

It is the Charcoal canister, I have replaced it with a catch can for the valve cover breathers. I'm just tryin to clean up the engine bay. I took the EGR off because I didn't want it there and needed to replace the plate on the back of the head anyways. I have a 60mm turbo, 660 injectors, afpr, hks ic and piping, tial bov. I have alot done, I just want clean up the bay.

you can remove boost sensor, crusie control is really easy to take out just start taking it out.... you can remove ABS (personally it would be the hardest in my opinion), relocate battery (not that easy, you would HAVE to do it right), take out A/C to get rid of those lines (again not that easy but prolly the most beneficial... i have not used my AC in my car for years personally from texas to colorado), if you want you can remove power steering as well there is a few lines in there kind of in the way as well as the p/s reservoir(or relocate the cooler lines).... if you have tems you can always go non tems shocks/springs... your windshield squirters, lines, tank that holds the fluid.

some people also remove the coolant overflow tank altogether and just plug up the radiator hole

quite a few of those are pretty dramatic though

I have relocated the power steering resivoir and the lines aswell as the oil cooler and it's lines. I'll probably remove the cruise aswell since it is not my daily and it worked half of the time. I'll look in the tsrm for the boost sensor aswell. I am going to keep my ac and power steering though.

You don't need the alernator either, the battery can handle things for a short amount of time, you'll just have to keep returning them to Wal-Mart once they die...

Hey guys nevermind, I just asked a simple question, I didn't need stupid comments like these! I just wanted to clean up my engine bay. I going to have my car tuned next week and hoping for low 500's. I just wanted to see what else I could get rid of, I don't post stupid comments or threads you guys are F'n Jackasses. I understand my car and what I can do with it for the most part and that is why I posted this. If you guys want to post stupid shit then post it where someone is being a total dumb ass with out searching and yes I searched.

its not a very good start to call names at people.. you could always ask politely for them to stop.

Anyways.. my vote is get rid of the A/C!!!!

weighs a shit-ton and its necessity, not priority. (and you gain unsignificant unmeasurable amounts of power, one less thing that isnt crank driven!)

my vote.

getting rid of the cruise is straight forward, its kind of a standalone system. You just have to unbolt it and hide the wire, and the throttle cable pops right off the linkage. I replaced my charcoal canister and the valve that goes to it with an RC car fuel filter and hooked it up directly to a vaccum port on the TB. I also removed my EGR vaccum lines, but i left the mechanism incase i ever wanted to hook it back up. And I also moved some of the electronic bits around, i cant remember where or how, but i moved 2 boxes to the firewall instead of the fender, i used the charcoal canister mounting bolts. That was on the passenger side. And I moved something on the drive sider to where the CC was bolted up. I also did remove my windshield squirter tank, But i left the nozzles in. I never use that thing anyways. All that should make your engine bay pretty clean. Oh and be sure to plug any vaccum ports up!

I killed my canister, but the PS system on a frequently driven car is heartahce, my buddy did it and I personally refused to drive the car like that, 3500lbs car is no fun without assisted steering. The AC I could and may remove but only worth doing if u remove all of it, condenser, fans, lines, etc.

Toyota Spent more money designing the engine bay of our car than you will most likely make in 3 lifetimes, everything is there for a reason. You are not smarter than toyota's billions of dollars and best engineers back in the day.
