uh... Make sure timing is right, dont have any large pre-o2 exhaust leaks, all intake piping is tight and secure. Possibly run some injector cleaner through it, uhh.... you "should" be ok, but it depends on how well the car was taken care of...

Isnt jackson pretty easy to pass smog?

Jackson is in Amador County. That means he's in what's called a "change of ownership area". Those areas perform the old 2 speed idle test which means his car will not be placed on a dyno or tested for NOx emissions.

Furthermore it will not need to be tested again until he sells it to someone else and not even then if that someone is an immediate family member. In other words this will be the only smog test he'll ever need to do as long as he owns the vehicle.

thanx for the info right now im in the process of cleaning all the intake parts and stuff i was wondering what is a what looks like to me a oil line going to the first peice of the intake when i pulled it off it was black inside right now its sitting in some solevent to get that crap off of it

ya the only problem is there trying to change that and make it an every other year thing that would suck consedering that i want to do a swap for a JDM 7M or 1JZ

There all the same...

and i enjoy my torque. 7M > 1JZ
Plus i can just go down to autozone to get stuff.... try to get 1jz stuff through autozone or kragens. lol

does any one know how i could check of the engine thats in the car is the stock one or if the guy i bought it from i already tried to take the engine block # to the local dealer with my VIN too but they said that toyota never really kept track of the engine block numbers or somthing like that
