Thermostat Removal?

Does anyone know how to remove the actual thermostat after removing the housing? is it just a pull or is it a twist and pull? please help, thanks

its probably baked on there if its being stubborn. may need to pry it a little..

I've had that happen a couple times on different engines, I always figure the gasket was cooked onto the housing. Grab a screw driver or some pliers and pry it out. If any gasket sticks, you might wanna gently clean up the housing.
