thermal wrap on Ct-26

is it ok for me to remove all the braces and grind down all the bolts on the exhaust side of the ct? or am I asking for trouble?

the braces are there for a reason. they help to support the turbo. i wouldnt think twice about running/driving my car without all the braces for the CT in place. you'll end up stripping out all the threads in the head where the exhaust manifold is bolted to.

ever seen anyone with one on? I just can't see a way of effectivly getting it on there.

I'm not sure I like the idea of thermal wrap, either. It'll keep your engine bay cooler, for sure, but at the cost of keeping your turbo and exhaust hotter. The exhaust side of our turbo cracks just from regular use, imagine how much worse that could be if you run it even hotter...
