the speedo and turbo timer is not working

hey as the title says it is not working at all but everything else in the gauge cluster is working...... rpm, gas, oil pressure, but not the speed, i dont know what is wrong with it :1zhelp: i am about to check it out as soon as i am done writing this and my turbo timer is HKS Zero and it si not working as well, i dont know it turns on with the car and everything seems right but when i turn off the car it just counts down but the engine turns off :1zhelp: i am about to mess around with it too after this but any info or ideas is welcome thankz

I cant help you with the TT problem but i could redirect you to SOGI for that speedometer problem.

This might be helpful if you think your cable is bad. SOGI Link for 5-spds.

Also what year is your car and to you have aftermarket gauges? 5-spd, or auto?

thankz for the help and my car is a 89 tubro, i have a omori boost gauge but eveything else is the same and i have a vpc and gcc. but i hope it is not the wire but i dont think so because nothing else is wrong with it or iam i wrong ? wouldn't there be more problems if it was the wire?

nope i just got it back on the road and it just does not work so

lol I have no idea really but im pretty sure the issue would be most related to the cable. Id feel bad if im wrong. Id hope someone would say something... someone who knows something 'bout it.

haha yeah no worries but i am going to try to do the wiring tonight or tomorrow morning, is this job hard or no and where would be a good place to buy the wire ?

well i just read the the whole page you linked me and yeah i think it is the cable so i am going to replace it tonight or tomorrow and thanks for the help and do you know where i could buy new cables or new parts that i need for it ? thankz again

Worse case would be dealership, assuming they have those parts still.

they still have the speedo cables...I ordered one about two months ago, it was there next day.

for the hks tt to read speed and rpms you need to tap into the wires by the ecu and it will read correctly. *disclaimer* you need to set both before it will be accurate. rpms need to be held at 2k iirc and speed is 20kph i think.
