Anyone have any big builds going on this winter? Anything top secret? Anything interesting? Need some help but are too afraid to ask for it?

I just think it'd be cool to know what everyone is doingt his winter so incase I, or someone else, was planning on doing it we could swing by, help out, and get a bit of extra experience that we all so desperately need.

My plans:
1) rebuild my 3.73's (82)
2) New bushings - ALLLLLL the way around (82)
3) Figure out something to do w/ this stupid mkIII :icon_bigg

I'm also willing to do engine/trans swaps and just about anything else if you're too lazy/rich to do it yourself. :icon_bigg I'm a poor college-ish student so I'm pretty damn cheap too. I also have more spare parts than I care to admit, and I'd sell anything you needed (that I had) for a pretty cheap price.

-get some kind of aftermarket suspension
-get spare motor into a shop so it can get rebuilt and beefed up

Hrm... I hope I get a raise this winter.

NOW all the car needs is a turbo so I can move it around. Matt, do you still have that one lying around that you were going to bring to the chi2k6 drag day?

I will probably be doing these things over the winter:
-tubular rear subframe
-Tubular front crossmember (if I have time)
-T67, make a t4 manifold that doesn't suck so bad...
-GM auto? A want, not necessarily a need.
-Fuel cell sunk into a new hatch floor
-polish the micro marring out of the paint
-polish wheels
-polish
-polish
-polish some more

I'll probably be picking up an oven and such for powdercoating..so brackets and shit will get coated.

I have one, but it's total crapp. Be glad you didn't buy it from me.

Boosted once and then it went smoke screen on me. :icon_bigg

It felt super tight though. So, i dunno

Sounds like your turbo was about as good as the one I blew coming home from chi2k6. lol.

Yeah... except basically a community college type deal instead of HS. :icon_bigg

It's gonna suck for me after next June.. having to get out and be responsible for a change. Talk about lame.

If I had the time I'd come help you. But with school 6 days a week and work after that now, I just don't see it happening anytime in the near future.

I do have a top secret mission in the works as we speak, but I won't be rolling it out until the Louisville meet. :naughty:

Outside of that I do have a MAJOR goal for this winter - auto to 5 speed swap.

I'm going to be in the market for an R154 and all necessary hardware, and I'm looking to do this on a tight budget, because I'm having to pay for it out of my secret Supra fund. I'm going to be looking for anybody who's going to be at the meet who might have parts for sale. And I won't turn away help from anybody who has done a swap and is willing to pitch in for beer and pizza, either. ;)

Hahaha... you probably don't want to feed random people beer and then have them work on your car. Not if ever want it to run again, anyway. ;)

more like feeding people with good reputations beer...and then praying my car gets done...all of this will be done under the supervision of a sober person too!!
