wow, mk1's that clean are hard to come by! Nice car, looking forward to the build

The clear coat is peeling off on the hood. So the hood needs sanded and re-painted. The seats are all also torn, but suprisingly (sp?), the rest of the interior is fine. I found a shop that will re-due the seats for less than $100 each, I will sand the hood myself, and my buddy works at an auto body shop and will clear coat the hood there for just the cost of the clear coat.... So I'm looking at around $400 to restore it to very good condition. Its the cheapest restoration ever.

The expensive part will be the motor swap. Unfortunately for me, I live in a condo and have nowhere to work on the car, and I'm limited with my own mechanical knowledge to begin with, so I will have to get the bulk of the work done somewhere else. I will probably take it to Rabid Chimp, he's local to me and has worked on 5mge's for a long time. He also did a lot of the work in my gen 3 and it turned out great.
The 5mge motors are supposed to be direct fit, wiring and all, and are cheap to come by, so I'm probably not looking at thousands, but definitely over one thousand. So I should be able to get it going in a month or 2 at the most.

It will be my daily driver still when it is done so I will keep the motor stock and just add intake, exhaust, and maybe headers (prob. not), but 160hp in a 2800lb car should make it pretty fun. I just want it to smoke the average Honda.
