Experimenting with HDR with a friend and his stang today. Hope you all enjoy!
Went with a friend and his mustang to take some shots of his car and my car today. Hope you enjoy!

One thing i've noticed with people trying night time HDR, they expect it to magically lighten up the cars so they're not underexposed. HDR doesn't do that, you still have to have the car lit. No amount of software effects can make a dark car in low light evenly exposed with a lit area and still look passable. Next time, try and park right under a bright light, or bring some lighting. If you take long shutter speed shots, 'paint' the car with a flashlight while the shutter is open, you can get a surprisingly good result.

Looking forward to seeing more shots!

the pictures were well lit (for the most part) because we parked under a bright light as you suggested. I personally like the fact that little specks of light are shining off the body, as opposed to having the whole car lit and/or visible. tons of people told me they're too dark but that's specifically the style of photo i was going for throughout. not only that, but they also look good through my imac monitor, and they may not look quite as hunky dory on other, perhaps inferior computer monitors.
