The Dreaded BHG pictures!

Just thought i would post some pix of what my BHG looked like once i pulled off the head. Now keep in mind that my car wasn't overheated, i just had white smoke and had to add coolant every few days. In the process of putting on a GReddy MHG and ARP head studs. How bad of a BHG is this and why is the #1 piston clean/silver and the rest are black? running rich?

its clean because that was the cylinder got most of the water leaking into it. it got a steam cleaning.

i would go over my fuel system completely if i were you. change your fuel pump and test all of your fuel injectors. ive been told that when the gasket blows out from the bore like that its due to detonation.

lolol headgasket? there is no headgasket, just a bunch of broken deteriorated mess.

at least you only have to clean the carbon off of 5 pistons instead of 6.

Wow, is that amount of carbon normal? How many miles do you guys have on those engines? The guy who owned my car last did a JDM swap maybe 4,000 miles ago, and to be honest I doubted the miles on the engine could be as low as 35 or 40K because of the condition of wires, hoses, crap in my intake, etc when I did the head gasket job about 1,200 miles ago because of a small leak on #6. Based on the lower amount of carbon, maybe it is lower mileage??
