Every job sucks, even the ones you think you like from time to time.
Take mine for example.
I love to talk about vehicles and everything associated with them. (Engines, transmissions, emmissions, computers, wheels, brakes yada yadda yadda....)
I really only work 3 or 4 days a week, but I travel almost every week of the year... And it's getting to be difficult to stay home when I'm there. (I'm finding that I like being out on my own 3 or 4 nights a week... This is not good for the family life as you might guess.)
So, like the medic, I'm still here, and doing my job, but I'm tired of the travel, but the job pays the bills for now. (I need to get into something where I'm home all the time, and build on my family relationship more than being gone more than 1/2 the year.)
Far as the Supra goes, I was just driving it last night, in a huge rain storm, and I realized how much I enjoy just driving this car. It shifts well, handles well, and is a great sports car. (Especially since it's paid for.) The stroker motor is running OK, I've replaced the spark plugs and went ahead a got new wires, the moroso ones, and solved my stereo whine in the process. (I guess the NGK's were leaking radio waves that my stereo was picking up.)
I've bought an Ebay stainless exhaust manifold, and I'm going to update my bolt on T4 to a divided exhaust housing, and possibly upsize the compressor and housing there too. (Might have to send it all back to ITS, but if they can get it done for the right price, I'm going to keep this turbo v/s sourcing a GT based one.)
The goal is to have my turbo running with an external waste gate and customize my DP (Again) to fit the new hot side with a V-band style adapter. If anyone is interested, I'm going to have a really good deal on a used bolt on T4 hot side, elbow and the DP flange you will need to make it hook up to an exhaust. (All 3" or better, and thermal coated, ported etc.) I also have a ported and coated stock exhaust manifold that I'd include with the deal. (Basicly, you would just need to buy a stage V T4 based turbo, and bolt it up to this stuff, add the DP back to your catback and your good to go.)
It would not include any of the lines unless I can't use them anymore, in that case, any un-used lines or fittings, will be included with the bolt on parts.
End of rant.
BTW, I'm thinking of buying a BMW Dakar motorcycle. Anyone own one? Likes? Dislikes?
