Well a few know that I am currently building a 7m that exploded on me and will install it into an 89 Supra that my father has donated! Today he came to see me and I took 2 quick pics. He is going to buy another car and has become my partner in the big build.. I also would like to know what you think about the color. We are going to have it painted because the red is just gone.. so do we keep it red, go for BLACK! or something else? I want it black.. and so far thats what is going to happen..

Here they are the black one is my 90 DD and the red one will be getting the built 7m...

Red. Why have 2 of the same car? It would also make it easier/cheaper to paint in the original colour.

It would be cheaper if you dont seal it, but that is just dumb. Without using sealer I'll give a paint job 2 years at the most before it starts flaking. Sand the paint you have on it, primer if you go to the metal, and seal it with the correct sealer for the color your using.

same color is still cheaper as the engine bay, door jams and interior doesn't need to be done.. if you dont do all that and do a color change thats just hacked and looks tacky.. a different shade of red will work (of course doing jams) as the interior and engine bay are base coats and dont look like exterior anyways

And as for my opinion, do what makes ya happy. Black cars are sexy as hell, but HIGH MAINTENANCE....And red....I'm not too fond of it, really. Personally, I'm more of a Graphite Metallic (or Anthracite) kinda guy... Quicksilver's kinda hawt too, not too light of a silver.
