That's it, I'm through with Blockbuster.

Those rat bastards.

This is the second time they've done this:

Rent movie.
Due back in 2 days (new release).
Bring back next day.
Drop in drop box.
Week later get an automated call: "You have.. **TWO** out standing videos, you will be charged the selling price *blah blah*, if you have already returned the videos then disregard this message."

So guess what... the charge me $10.66 for a movie... then the next day credit me $10.66 because they magically find the videos I returned the day after I watched them. ::dunce::

If there was to be a NEXT time, I'd return the movie to the cashier and make sure they do the return right then and there.

This happen to anyone else?
It's obnoxious.

Man that shit happens all the time down here. The clerks are so lazy. I've had movies considered months late when they sat in the drop box for months. Very annoying. On top of that they charged me for the movies and I couldn't rent other movies until the "late" ones were returned because I sure as hell wasn't paying the late fees. Blockbuster FTL!! Downloading movies FTW!

Yeah, we have netflix too... but sometimes you just wanna swing by and pick up something to watch that night.

I'm sure it was just never processed... but I believe the employees should be reprimanded so this garbage doesn't happen anymore.

I'm not a big fan of the whole online renting thing. I know it's cheap and they have a large selection, but I usually rent movies the day I want to watch them. I can't think several days ahead. Do people seriously plan to rent movies in advance? lol

We do television series like Nip Tuck, The office, and all the popular cartoon programs as well.

That's happened to me, too.

Except I don't have a blockbuster account.

And I didn't rent any movies.

I've gone to the branch and demanded they remove my phone number from their automated dialing POS, but they never do. Bastards.

I worked at Blockbuster way back when. What's happening is they didn't scan your movies back into inventory, which is easier to fuck up than you think. Hand it to the person at the counter and have them scan it in with you there. Believe me, it wasn't fun going through a bunch of movies looking for one that wasn't scanned in, especially if it turned out the person ended up returning it to a different store altogether...

Would have been a good job if they'd have tripled my pay. ;)
