Ok, I wanna get a 3" test pipe for our '90T That I just did a Tanabe Cat-back on. Wondering here... are there 1 or 2 sizes of test pipes? b/c I think I recall reading about California cats and non cali cats for cat back measurements.. somin about 1/2" length difference in the cats. I noticed when I bolted up the Tanabe Cat-back it was about 1/2" short of mating up with the stock cat, but I bolted it up anyway, just stretched the exhaust hangers a bit. B/c if so... I'd like to get the "longer" or California test pipe.

I was talking about difference in "length" of the cats. but either way... I called up titan and they only knew of 1 length so I ordered it. I also bought a gasket for the front of it being I have a new rear gasket from the tanabe. all in all was like $78.05 shipped. I had to pay some tax b/c i live in fl.

I think the difference was between Turbo and NA.
I got a Random Tech cat from Suprasport that was sold for a turbo.
It was 1 inch too short for my '87 NA>T.
So I got the NA one and it was the right length.
So I was under the impression that the NA and Turbo cats were different lengths.

Do you not have your stock cat to measure? I took measurements and just went to [a shop] and they made me a test pipe 3" x 9" (for NUR Spec) no problem (50 bucks). Although I think the guy knew what I was using it for so he couldn't give me a reciept...
