So does the 1jz use a VSV in the Charcol circut?, by the looks of the pic it just goes through thte steel pipe then to the TB. What would be the problem if it was hooked directly up to the TB with the standard check valve?

If you dont use the vsv it just lets it in all the time instead of only when warm/cracked throttle. So just a bit of rich idle etc. Not too noticeable. IMO anyone who worries about that sort of thing on cheap 20 years old jap sports car is kind of a pussy lol.

i believe the vsv bleed's pressure into the fuel tank ,help's the pump(s)from cavitating.the 2jz actually has a little pressure tank under the manifold with the vsv mounted to it.

Do I put the check valve on the intake manifold anywhere after the throttle plate?

Nope it's one specific vacuum port. Goes straight ot the side just in front of the throttle place. Points towards the tps side.

Bump, I really want to get this hooked up and I want to do it right..

I don't see that electonic vsv anywhere. I have a check valve too so I can hook it up that way.

Any and all help is appreciated

I have a standalone EMS with a custom made engine harness, and removed the VSV's etc., so I have nothing to control the VSV. I just have the JZA70 charcol can hooked up to the port on the TB with the inline check valve, no VSV. I have been running it this way all summer with no problems. Just wondering if being "open" full time wil cause any problems?

Electric vsv solenoid and set up a table for it to be on at 60c, done.
