Tein off road only???

So I'm about to order a set of the Tein super street coilovers and I read the installation and adjustment instructions online and all over it says, "for off road use only".

What does this mean? My car is a daily driver. Is this just Tein's way of covering their asses?

Should these coilovers be used on an every day driver or am I looking at the wrong model of shock? or wrong brand?

I'm sure some of you can offer some insight into this. :icon_conf

I think FIPK and open DP's are also off road use only too. I think it's a disclaimer to warn you that you may not meed DOT requirements in some states.

yeah, like you said,TIEN covering their ass. theres alot of stuff that we put on our cars that is "offroad use only".

Good (sigh of relief), because I'd hate to spend that kinda money and find out...I don't know what...something bad.

I can see the "off road use only" warning on smog related stuff but it seems kinda odd on coilover shocks.

Does anyone have a recommendation on which Tein model is best? Anybody offer a better deal on something just as good? Teins are kinda spendy especially for the better ones.

yea the SS's will do you fine, since it is a DD then dont worry about picking up more expensive ones, the other 2 are more for major players.

True that!! I have the SS and researched into the other two HA and Flex and there realy isn't much difference unless your going racing on the track(road coarse) everyday. The SS are nice and stiff and have plenty of adjustments. I set mine up titties. I rode with a pack of 4 Supras all rolling on Teins, Ha's and Flex and me with SS and they said they didn't see any body roll and I don't even have sway or strut bars yet. They are well worth is if you ask me or you can spend the extra 300-600 to say hay I have the HA or Flexs. My 2 cents. Later-T
