Alright, tomorrow, I am taking my car to my tuner to degree my cams because my cam timing is still slightly off it appears. He's going to show me how to do it, and make me do it myself.

What do I need to know, cam someone give me a description of how to do this on a 7m? I'm not familiar with this, as this is further than I've ever gotten in a engine with this build. I've never had to degree anything before, so don't think I'm stupid. I just don't understand how it works. I do know you need a dial indicator and a degree wheel.

HELP ;)

Thanks guys

I come from a land down under
Gixx: LMAO talk about a hard to describe procedure!

First you need a timing tag showing where the Intake and Exhaust events are meant to happen.

Once you have this you need some way to fit the dial indicator so it can be in line with an Exhaust cam bucket.

You also need to find the true TDC and 0 the pointer on the degree wheel.

You then wind the motor by hand watching the degrees v's dial indicator.

This should match up to the info on the timing tag and if it doesn't you move the pully and repeat until it does.

Repeat on the Intake side and you're now straight up (Your Motor's 0 point) Everything else is based on this point.
