where could i find a carbon fiber targa top?

DUDE! Chill with the CF targa! It didn't work all three times on i-Supra, it won't work here either! They don't exist as of yet, Neither does the pop-out version!

Pop-out version? as in the one used in Fast and furious on the MKIV Supra?

There was a guy on i-Supra.com, went by the name of JordanC. He was "designing" a pop-out targa top very much like that one^^^. He also claimed that there would be a CF version.
He has since gone on to medical school and no one on that site has heard from him in a while...

But if you DO hear from him, tell him to send me my brakes ASAP for the love of God!

But by how much. And you'd have to make sure it would be braced well enough to avoid the flexing right? I don't think it would lower the center of gravity or weight savings by that much if you would have to brace it don't you think?

stock is braced...

aluminum is 2X stronger than steel for it's weight

the evo's have aluminum roofs because of this as well...

Understood. But still you have to admit the savings weight wise couldn't be much. I think it (CF) would be for Bling more than #savings.

Fuck that. Go baller on it - Titanium roof

No, seriously, I'd like a fiberglass one, with appropriate aluminum braces.

Honestly, I prefer the bolt down procedure.

it's a structural member, I don't want rattles

it needs to bolt down...

I'd like an aluminum or better braced frame with an autoclaved CF shell over it, would be super stiff and light as hell

the only issues is the drip rails and seals aren't exactly light...

but that's expensive as hell, most people wouldn't be able to afford it...

Not trying to start a war but the "sport roof" was a stupid (but bafflingly popular) option.

I think chassis flex on a sport roof is a much bigger issue, but agreed, if you could take some weight off the highest part of the car it would probably help.

A CF targa would be cool. Call me skronny but the stock targa roof is kind of heavy. I almost dropped it a few times...

then get a hardtop:dunno:

it isnt that bad to put the targa on and take it off, just make sure check the weather before you take it off.
