Use new toyota seals. Theres 4.

Do not use rtv. It is not needed.

You can use some tar strips or silicone under the corners of the front seal to raise it up and get a better seal and get rid of any water drips.

The seals are supposed to slide in the tracks into the right position when installing the targa.

Ok thanks for the insight. Thats just one less thing to worry about. I guess its pretty easy to replace. I ordered them in from champion so they are new.

Champion Toyota for new seals that fit directly on the car... Speaking of which, i need badly... rained hard yesterday. left a rag on the passenger seat. got out from work & it was soaking wet, i even twist it outside to get the water out... lol

IMO it depends on where and why they are leaking... simply replacing with new seals would not fix my issue... I had to do something similar to what shipkiller posted in #8, but I pulled all of my seal rails off, cleaned everything off, then resealed it all, using a combination of the rolled window sealer and black auto RTV. Now it will only leak a little if I spray water sideways at the windows... but rain and careful where you are spraying car washes, I have no more leakage.

thanks every one the project went well and my car no longer leaks when water is sprayed any where but directly up the window so i feel this is a major fix. the bad part is i figured out this targa is bent, the drivers side needed some bending so it would go down right i guess the old warn out seals let it seal before but we had to do some operating on the top yesterday.
