Are you guys getting sick of me yet? :biglaugh:

This is my 9th mk2 alltogether (since 2001), my 4th 1985 model and my 4th FREEBIE.

So the story behind this is, a Toyota guru buddy of the Chimps told him about this thread on celica-gts.com about a FREE 1985 Supra that had lost reverse. So of course, it was linked to me where I immediately started salivating over the few pics that were posted.

After a day of waiting for the original poster to get back to me, he finally gives up the cars address and owners phone number. I talk to the owner for a bit, who says the car no longer runs and it doesn't move at ALL. When originally it was just supposed to have no reverse. We go out there, check the car out, looks decent but we need to see under the hood and check under the car to make sure she doesnt have the same horrific rust issue as Coyote Ugly. So we go back out there the next day, and I bring my collection of Supra keys and was able to open the car up and pop the hood.

There is some rust under the battery tray, and that panel will have to be replaced, but no frame damage. The lower radiator support looks like it hit something at one time, it's dented pretty good, but is not rusted and looks structurally fine. There is rust in the spare tire well also, but I think that covers the extent of it. The rockers look great, the 1/4 panels look great, even the sunroof looks rust free!

On to the pics...

(ugly ass 15" Eagle wheels, are gonna go bye bye)

Ghetto lowering, haha. Someone heated the coils, car is slammed pretty good. No crazy bounce in the car which surprises me.

Car is dropped so low in the front, the airdam got ripped really bad. I was upset for a few minutes, but I do have a replacement, so no biggie.

Took a gallon of gas and some coaxing, but after over a year of sitting, the engine roared back to life :)

After having the engine run for a little bit, I slipped the car into drive and *squat* she engaged and moved, LOL. I also tried reverse and she moved ever, EVER so slowly, like snails pace and then it stopped. So I figured a tranny filter change and fluid refresh might help her out.

Changed the filter yesterday, and reverse came back a little more, but is still slipping like crazy. Not a big deal, I will change her out to 5 speed eventually anyway :)

ORLY?

lol.

yeah, a few things are out/don't work. Can't imagine why... I mean the car sat for a year during shitty WA weather... wonder how things got burnt out...

Foglights don't work, one running light is out, one of the tail lights is out, rear wiper doesn't work, blower doesn't work, tranny power mode lights are sketchy... bunch of silly, easy shit.

haha. I need to get her registered first before I can go out and get tickets for silly things like lights being out.

Hope this thing will pass smog, heh.

Looks like this car has alot of potential! It's definitely a good color :)

My car passed smog with a swiss-cheese like pre-muffler, and you could hear it lol. The guy at the station was just chatting, talking supras with me because he used to have one so I probably got lucky lol

I like the spider in the wheel well! Oh, and excuse me for saying, but you are a MkII Slut :D

Yeah, CUs 5 speed is all fuxored up, but awhile back I was given a mk3 5 speed (tailshaft already changed to suit the mk2). I just need to grab the clutch pedal assembly, master and slave cylinders off her before she goes bye bye
