Are you guys getting sick of me yet? :biglaugh:
This is my 9th mk2 alltogether (since 2001), my 4th 1985 model and my 4th FREEBIE.
So the story behind this is, a Toyota guru buddy of the Chimps told him about this thread on celica-gts.com about a FREE 1985 Supra that had lost reverse. So of course, it was linked to me where I immediately started salivating over the few pics that were posted.
After a day of waiting for the original poster to get back to me, he finally gives up the cars address and owners phone number. I talk to the owner for a bit, who says the car no longer runs and it doesn't move at ALL. When originally it was just supposed to have no reverse. We go out there, check the car out, looks decent but we need to see under the hood and check under the car to make sure she doesnt have the same horrific rust issue as Coyote Ugly. So we go back out there the next day, and I bring my collection of Supra keys and was able to open the car up and pop the hood.
There is some rust under the battery tray, and that panel will have to be replaced, but no frame damage. The lower radiator support looks like it hit something at one time, it's dented pretty good, but is not rusted and looks structurally fine. There is rust in the spare tire well also, but I think that covers the extent of it. The rockers look great, the 1/4 panels look great, even the sunroof looks rust free!
On to the pics...
(ugly ass 15" Eagle wheels, are gonna go bye bye)
Eh, interior needs work, LOL
Car had 3 flats, glad I brought my 3 spare wheels/tires with us
Ghetto lowering, haha. Someone heated the coils, car is slammed pretty good. No crazy bounce in the car which surprises me.
Car is dropped so low in the front, the airdam got ripped really bad. I was upset for a few minutes, but I do have a replacement, so no biggie.
Home!
Bumper damage
