I have had an HKS S-AFR installed and running great for some time. I got a great deal on an APEXi NEO. I took it because I wanted the functionality of the Hi/Lo throttle setting. SAFR does not have that.

I install the NEO and made some conservative settings from a wideband log. The settings were comparable to the ones I was running of the SAFR. When I made a 3rd gear run it about scarred the crap out of me. At about 5400rpm the A/F started climbing and EGT shot up. That was on 2-18-7. I decided to test something and re-installed the SAFR. Log was beautiful, just like it should be, 2-21-7. The only change was the fuel computer.

What gives? Anyone have any idea?

Setup on the NEO was completed properly according to the instructions:
V/T off, KR, 6cyl, Throttle /, Throttle Lo=69, Hi=70, No correction on Lo setting
My mods here
Both wot runs were mid 10psi, 3rd gear, operational temp, comparable weather.

im guessing with something on the gain side of the neo? your whole curve is slightly higher with that than the safc

Is a percent equal to a percent?

Why would a -2% correction at 5600rpm on the SAFR maintain a safe A/F, mid-low 10:1
But a -2% correction at 5600rpm on the NEO and the A/F shoots up into the 13's

I marked points on the graph for comparison.

edit:
I don't have any correction on either that high. Letting the tccs dump as much fuel as it wants to cool things off. Seems to work ok on the safr.

Things start going bad way before that on the neo, like around 5200rpm.
