I wanna look at my valves and get a good look at me MHG, and replace it.

Where do the studs come through on the head? Is it the screws?

Also, I wanna detach the A/T tranny to pull out the rest of the motor later in case i do have a rod knocking. How do i do that, the removing the 7m thread only has details for the manual tranny's. Thanks for helpin a rook..

It makes it easier if you take them out together. ;) I've done it several times this way, and will NEVER remove them seperately again. It was a real PITA for me...

For A/T, Just disconnect the Speedo Cable, loosen the four bolts that hold the wing into the trans mount, and remove the driveshaft, and itll drop right down. Then once the engine is ready to come out, take them out together, I swear it is MUCH easier.

If you are asking this question, your user name will likely become a way of life for you...

Please go get yourself a TSRM so you have some clue of what the hell you are doing.

Then, read this writeup on rod knock:

http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20486

In that writeup you'll learn how changing that head gasket incorrectly can lead to rod knock..

I'm serious. Kudos to you for asking questions, but if you are still trying to figure out where the bolts are that hold the head on, you need to be holding a book, not a tool.

And this is true. I've done it this way quite a few times and it's easier. Just be sure to jack the back of the car up as high as possible. Makes it much easier to get the whole thing in and out.
