A few questions are suspect, but it was a joint venture between a lefty and a righty. Who do you trust a pro athlete or the owner? Trust for what? The lefty clearly planted that one. But I thought it was a good test.

I got a 38 only because I trust the us postal service over the pentagon but the way I see it, I send lots of mail and never call the pentagon. Somehow that logic seems flawed now that I look at it. I'll have to re-take the test !

The cutting deficit one is tricky too, because you can look at it like "we don't need some evironmentalist programs" or you can look at it like "We should cut defence" I dunno I find it to be an incomplete quiz.

I got 30, but there are quite a few bullshit questions. Like this one:

11. In the long run, do you think we can reduce crime more by building more prisons or providing more financial assistance to rebuilding our inner cities?

Build prisons
Rebuild cities
Both

Neither is not a choice, and that would have been mine, so I got forced into an answer that is one I would normally give.

I like how they reduce crime in Cheyenne.

I was there working one week, and hear this Pop, poppopopop... Basicly about 5 shots, one then a very fast pause, then 4 in a row right after that...

So I mentioned it to the guys standing there beside me, and they all said, "car backfire.." I said no, gunfire...

Later that night, the local news talks of this fatal shooting in town, across the parking lot from where we were standing.

Ok, here's what happened.
Guy robs a local gas station/store deal.
Local guy and his wife have just pulled up, see the robbery in progress, and the local pulls his handgun, and waits in his car for the perp to come out of the store...
Local guy then gets out of his car, and as the perp is walking away from the scene, the local dude shoots him in the back 5 times, killing the bad guy completely dead. (Opposite of just "mostly dead... ")

So the PD shows up, says it was a nice tight group, and let's the guy go. The Liberal part of town pipes up and says they have to arrest the shooter since he broke the law, and killed a man in cold blood in broad daylight...

The PD investigated some more, and ended up fining the man 50.00 for discharging a weapon in city limits... However, he still has his gun, and it's loaded, so don't go robbing anybody at gunpoint in Cheynne, WY.

That's one of the few good things about Cheyenne, aside from it being where I met my wife. I'll be in town there around the middle of November, visiting the in-laws before we make our way down to Arizona.

I scored a 24, which puts me between W Senior and Colin Powell - not a bad place to be, IMO. I'm easy going, but I cut through some of the BS.

wow....time to move a few hours east. the people here are all hicks, but the police here act like someone strait out of greenpeace.

and that political test really is complete BS...as Mike said there is no "neither" option for many of them. Some of the questions are based on some VERY broad generalizations and can't really be grounds for "rating" your political standing.

I only scored 18, but then again I think the only thing really wrong with the country is the people running it. Get some people who are not life long politicians into all the branches of govt right up to the pres, get people who work 2 and 3 jobs just to survive, people who live in the inner city areas pleagued with crime, people who actually fight crime, but don't have the resources or man power to do it right in to those positions and this country would be in much better shape I think. Most politicians have never actually worked for a living, most of them come from families that have always been politicians, bush's, kennedy's etc, they think they know how it is for the rest of us, what is best for the rest of us, but they really don't have a clue what it is like to live in a rundown area, have to work 18 hours a day etc. Get the lifer's out of there and things will improve IMO. And I also agree that is a very lousey test, not nearly enough answers, probably made by a lifer, or a wanna be.

Joel, you must have cheated man... Your score is way too high, or have our online debates changed you into a closet conservative?:)

I have taken a few of these. One was here from Supracentrals post and I am always in the middle of the road.

So quit calling me a freaking liberal.. :biglaugh:

I used to think of myself as a slight republican until I was forced to educated myself recently.
