I think that one of the previous owners had the battery spill on them. Probable cause?

It's a very fine pitting in the paint across all the darker areas. It doesn't appear to have gone down to bare metal.

Mine's like that too, just worse. Mine is just bad staining of the paint and would have to be repainted to fix it.

That's what I was considering, but everything seems to be running perfectly so I ruled it out. My Voltmeter shows everything as running within the optimal range so.
