Taillight warning light on as soon as I hit the brake pedal or turn my headlights on.

My taillight warning sensor seems to be alright, I opened it up and there is nothing visibly burnt or smelling burnt. I changed it out with a known working good one and the light still comes on. All of my lights are working, including the brake lights. Is it possible that the HKS turbo timer (hooked into the em brake wire) could be causing this??? Any ideas???

I had this problem with mine, theres a box in back on the driver side under the tail light housing its called the lamp failure box its prolly bad, unplug it and if the idiot light goes out then thats your problem I think the only function of the box is to test for bad conncections and report them to the dash, therefore you dont need it (if im correct)

I already have the same problem here and will be puting a 89 spoiler on a non-spoiler car. will it cause the problem not to be fixed

If you put a spoiler on a non spoiler car you have to get the lamp failure modual that corresponds with the year of the spoiler

did it rain recently near you? if that box gets wet, it'll illuminate the light you speak of in the dash. if it did infact get wet, then you can just take it out, and dry it out, and that *should* fix the problem. then fix the leaks that allowed it to get wet.

also, i took mine apart and re-soldered all the connections in it, as they were corroded and some were broken. after i re-soldered them i never had a problem with it since. it functions correctly, and i'm happy because there's no more orange light in my dash shining in my face at night. :)
