tail light swaps!

i've got a Mk3 with pre 89 tail lights, and i'm wondering if i can jsut get the 89+ centre panels and swap em in? anyone has any idea pls? thanx guys!

Im pretty sure you'll need both the left and right tail lights, and the center piece. I cant see the 89+ center piece lining up with the pre 89 lights

thanx..i jsut wanted to be sure...i guess thats why they all seemed to be sold as a complete set....

Dont forget that the molding on the '89+ center section will be different than the rest of your '87-'88 molding...

is your car an 89+ with pre 89 tails..?

shoot the previous owner, but yeah it'll all swap over, if you're pre-89, you have to drill two tiny holes for the trim, but it's not hard at all..
