I got a good deal on a precision t88 turbo with a .96 exhaust a/r.

Do u guys think thats thats overkill for my setup?

My setup:

Fully CNC'd head
FFIM
Huge FMIC
Custom grind cams .375 lift
Built th350 with 3800 stall
Stock 88 turbo rearend i believe its a (3.92)
A1000 aeromitve fuel pump
1000cc inj.
FPR
Emanage blue W/ LS1 mass air
Fully built bottom end (forged)
All studed ARP hardware
MHG
Tubular manifold with a T4 flange
Other boltons

I have a wet fogger kit setup on it, but not sure if i need to use it yet, but its there just incase lol

My current setup it a .67 compressor wheel with a .70 a/r and .96 a/r exhaust

What do you guys think

Depends on your goals....

But personally, i think youd need a looser stall, more pump and injector, and some better management....

Hmmm,
Sratch Emanage piggyback and substitute some type of standalone EMS.

Turbo will be a bit laggy, but eh, one must make compromises with a turbo capable of 750+whp.

im not after the most RWHP, im trying to setup the car to run the best down a 1/4 mile . i dont care if it makes a 500 rwhp as long as it runs a low 10 sec pass im good. so could it be done with a 67mm or should i step up to a bigger deal like a 70mm 76mm or 88mm.

Just for reference (since my setup used to be pretty similar), I did 10.55 with a turbonetics 61mm with a p-trim .68 a/r. So that 88 is WAY overkill for your goals....Not to mention youl need the spray just to spool it at the track. BTW, i hope you raised the rev limit a bit, b/c with that stall and those gears, you'll be hitting the stock limiter at about 1000ft.

As for a/r, alot of it depends on the turbine wheel too....a .96 p -trim is not the same as a .96 q- trim, etc....

If i were you, i'd do the 67 with the .68 p-trim. With this you wont need to necessarily spray at the tree to build boost. (you may have to wait a couple seconds for it to come on though :)) But this way, you can slowly add some nitrous to both the launch and down-track to get where you wanna be. A bigger turbo just complicates that. Get used to it running 10s on boost alone, and launching with the assistance of the e-brake before having to spray 100 out the hole just to get the damn thing spooled. HTH. Feel free to PM if you have any further, in-depth questions...

My comment / suggestion was solely based on your mod' list; 1000cc inj + Emanage. You must realize that 1000cc inj is 250% larger than the originals, so your tuning maps will be so incomprehensibly skewed you'll be lucky to get it to start and idle properly. Idling and drivability will be huge feats to overcome with the Emanage piggyback. For your case, it's undeniable, a standalone is much much much more appropriate.

what he said, but honestly, 1000cc injectors is going to idle like crap on anything.

So what do you think if i knock it down to 720cc inj. would that help you think.

also what engine management do you guys recomend! AEM, Haltac, or is there any others?
