Okay, first of all on the turbo there is a large hole in the hotside that goes from the manifold and allows exhaust gas to dump stright out to the elbow kinda like a bypass, whats the reason for this!!?? And on the external wastegate there is 2 vacume lines one on top and one on bottom, One goes to the BOV and one to the turbo housing?? if so what ones go where?? Also how is the wastegate adjusted? Do you use a BC on the vacume line off the turbo??? I guess it has a 10.5 spring so that means its set to 10.5 minumum so if I were to run without B/C it would open past 10.5 and if i had BC I could turn it up higher but not lower then the spring setting? -- I know its alot but im learning!! =)

You are right about the wastegate. about the turbo... it realy looks like its suposted to be internally gated. WHat kind of turbo is it?

Maybe a garrett?? , that is a turbo that needs a five bolt type swing gate assembly. Like a internal wastegate, except that the gate assembly and flapper bolts on between the turbo and the downpipe. I sell those if you need one.

Its a standard T3/T4 turbo and NO its not for a wastegate hook up. Here is a pic to clairify the difference between the T4 I have and a internal wastegated turbine. Notice in the wastegated turbo there is a hole for the rod and arm plus alot more space for the valve exc! Might be a mistake in the casting but my T4 weld on adaptor has a spot for it too, im prolly gonna just weld it up! Also on the external wastegate does it matter what vacume line goes where, theres one on top and one on bottom, I guess one goes to BOV and one to turbo, also how do u adjust the boost do u use a BC in the WG to turbo line????

It is for a wastegate, you have a t4 exhaust housing with a "ford style" discharge made for a bolt on external flaper style wastegate that uses an actuator similar to a built in wasgate like the stock ct-26 you have pictured next to your t4. You have the housing on the top, and you need the kit on the bottom.

Of course you can. You will need a discharge flange that blocks the hole or a down pipe that bolts directly to the housing that also blocks the hole. Or you can change the the exhaust housing all together to an external only style.

This is a similar product that would block the hole. This is a direct bolt on adapter to weld a 3" pipe onto to make your own downpipe. Simple insert a 3" diameter pipe and weld in place, fab the rest of the down pipe, then bolt directly to your turbo.

That flange is 28.00 plus shipping from me, I am not sure about your wastegate, maybe you could post a pic

I have the vacume fittings but does it matter what one goes to BOV and what one goes to turbo housing??

the bov gets hooked up to a vaccum source not the wg or anything past the throttlebody. tee off a line going to the intake manifold.

if youre using a manual boost controller you only use the side port, leave the top port vented. and yes, the boost controller is installed inline between the boost source (turbo nipple) and wastegate.

it allows better control of boost

theres a diaphram that controls the plungers up/down movement between those two ports. when pressure is applied on the bottom port the diaphram is pushed up and the wg opens. when theres pressure on the other side it closes

yes im sure. it does have a purpose just not for your application. if you want to use it then get a ebc instead of the manual
