what kind of other things would you need to run a differnt throttle body like q45 ,would a standalone system be necisary

it depends. for example im running the 2jz tb. changes that were needed ->
throttle opens opposite stock, you need a new tps to compensate or swap the throttle plate around. i got lucky and was able to get the 2jz tb to work with the stock electronics.
the stock flange is 63-65mm and drilled to fit the stock tb. you will need an adaptor.
the throttle linkage will need to be changed.

your question is a little open ended so if you had one in mind specifically we might be able to offer better info

im wondering if you were to get a ffim with a q45 tb could i still use the stock electronics

you would need the q45 tps as it opens the opposite way. i reread my previous post and i realized i was a bit vague, my tb uses the 2jz tps and connector that is wired into the stock wiring harness.
