ok I had read something on here about loosing compression and other bad things when using a synthetic in the motor. I returned a whole bunch of redline to a store here and almost got chased out of the store for believing it may do more harm than good "what do you think they put in airplane engines, it's what I use in my motorcycle" other than the fact that it doesn't break down what's the point? I mean I change my oil almost as much as my underwear so the fact that it goes for 50k means nothing to me.

my experience with synthetics has been good, if switching oil changes compression, id say you already have motor issues. like oil leaks, synthetic seems thinner so it may leak oil after changing oils, but again i think there was probably some oil seal issues to begin with,

once i changed, i had leaks, but once i fixed them, i have put 40k miles on it and no leaks..

Ahahah true that joel.
If you wana find out how good shape your engine is in change to synth and look for the leaks :icon_razz No leaks means good gaskets still. Seriously tho, i have heard nothing but good for synthetic oils, as the chains are always the same in them, where as in dino oil the chains are all random and not as efficient at lubrication like the uniform chains in synth.
