Baltimore Sun said:
The incident was the second this week in which a man was wounded trying to commit a robbery. An off-duty Baltimore police officer shot and critically wounded a man who had tried to rob him at gunpoint in his Northeast Baltimore home, according to police. He chased the man for two blocks before opening fire, police said.

Cop chases a guy (a bad guy, yes; emphasis is that cop chased Him) then shoots him, no punishment.
If they try to prosecute the kid for defending himself on his own property, they will be skewered.

It's got to be his word against a dead man's. How can they convict him unless he's already filed a statement saying that he cut the man up without fearing for his life? I couldn't convict him if I was on the jury.

The news story says that it's up to the state attorney's discretion if the kid will be charged. The title of this thread says he likely will be charged. While your title is outrage provoking, it's not completely accurate. With the comments that the police are releasing, I doubt seriously that he will be charged.

I have a sword tucked away in my room and I won't hesitate to use it. I say good job to him. Hell, he likely prevented other peoples homes from being burglarized. Indeed, he needs a medal FTMFW.

Hooray for the victim. We need more people like him who will stand up for their rights. After it's all said and done I just have to say:

"There can be only one."

Oh like I was the only one to think that after reading the story
