Swapping parts from an 88 to a 87 NA Supra

I have an 87 Targa and bought an 88 for parts. I was wanting to switch out the inside locking mechanisms but I noticed that the 88 has an auto lock on it where my 87 does not. Has anyone run into this before? I know when I switched my seats out I had a problem getting the wire harness to match up. I had to re wire the power seat and now the lumbar does not work. I was hoping the door electrics would plug right into the old plug. Anyone try this yet? My door panel is a bit stuck on this side so I was hoping to find out here first before I risk breaking it.

I swapped 89 seats into my 86.5 and the plugs were a direct fit. Plug n play, and all power seat options work fine. I didn't know there were ever any differences in stuff like that.

Yea, I thought they would be the same but they weren’t. My 87 had power lumbar but not power movement. The 88 had both so the plug was different. I was hoping the door switches would not be the same but once I took a real good look at them I noticed the passenger side on my 88 has a bottom while my 87 is shorter and missing the button.
