just found out i have a bhg on 10 psi and i never run my car hard also with 99,000 miles. one night it just started to leak coolant

Leaking coolant doesnt necessarily mean you have a BHG. If you mean leaking like out of the resevoir then i can understand. Did you check for coolant in oil and oil in coolant? Overheats? Consumes coolant? White smoke?
Ask them how they know. Just so they don't take you for a ride. Ask them to show you/ or explain to you how they tested it to come to that conclusion. You might learn something. You might learn that they are going to charge you a ton of cash for a HG job, and fix a small leak somewhere else. It wouldn't be the first time a mechanic was dishonest.
