Alright, well I've got my H&Rs sitting downstairs and as soon as I pick up my new car I wanna put them in, but I'm not sure which struts would work the best with them.

I know alot of people run Tokico Blues, but I've heard they are too soft and blow out fast. I don't want that.

So I guess it comes down to Koni's or KYB's. The Koni's cost alot more than the KYB's on www.shox.com, but what I'd like to know is which would be a better strut to run with the H&Rs?

Can't comment on how they'll work with your spring choice but I've had a set of Koni Yellows in mine since 97 with the only failure being when I bottomed it with both tanks full and the bump rubber split and smashed the shock piston into the bottom killing it!

Replaced the bump rubbers with poly ones and a new shock and it's been perfect ever since!

They have quite a wide range of adjustment so you can tune it to suit!

i have koni yellows with my ST's and i love it. they seem to handle the increased spring rate well. i cannot really comment on how well they will work with H+R's but im sure it would be fine. and since your coices are koni's and kyb's i would go with koni's as you can adjust the dampening on them. just make sure you dont turn them past 720 degrees like the instructions tell you or you will blow it up like i did with one of mine :crazy1:

i'm running Koni yellows with my eibachs, and i love them. i've got the fronts set to full firm, and the rear to full soft. (still tighter than stock) and, koni's (if i remember correctly) have a lifetime guarantee, which means that if you kill one, send it back to them and they'll send you a new one free. (less shipping)

i have kyb's with H&R's there nice for the price, but if i had mo money i would get Koni's, H&Rs are stiff springs and fairly low, so a mild shock like a kyb will give u a greater chance of bottoming out and probibly a shorter life span but like i said for the price i like um.

I was myself debating between the Koni's and the Bilstiens. I didn't want to run them with H&R springs though; instead RSR race springs, or TRD springs.

Alright, thanks for the replies. I'm going to try and get the Koni's, hopefully I'll have the money for them, if not the suspension might have to wait till I do :)

The first thing i bought for my suspenion was the koni shocks because they were the most expensive. My intrax springs were only like 180 for summit racing. Summit has some of the best prices with free shipping if it is over $100 I think. Some places might be $10-$20 cheaper, but you need to consider shipping. Shop around before purchasing.

Shox.com has the Koni's for $420 with free shipping, so all I need to do is when I'm going to get them is get them shipped to just down over the border and go over and pick them up. Cheaper to do it that way, hopefully I'll be getting them soon :)
