hey guys i think one of my struts are blown i know it coming from my front suspension...... because i here sum kocking sound when im driving when i back up when theres a bump some where and speed bumps....or when im going fast on 1st, 2nd and 3rd and slow down i here it.... its kinda of loud.....like when in frst and just hit the accellerator and go around 2500-3000 rmp and if i let go of the pedal i hear it....it kinda feels like a jerk with a little turbulance.....happens in 2nd and sometime in 3rd....
i hope this is a good description

or could it be my front lower ball joints???
cuz i had my state inspection and they said my F&R lower ball joints were loose but passed me... would that be the reason it is making that knocking sound...
they also said there is a noise coming from powertrain...

and im thinking about getting those magen racing coilovers for 950
which is a great PRiCE!!!

ball joints can be had for about less than 80 US a piece... As for the knocking sound. it could be a number of things, but i would check the ball joints first by looking at the TSRM for instructions on how to do that.

I agree with suprabad. How is your steering? Does it go where you point it? Can you emulate the noise by bouncing the vehicle from the outside? I would put the car on jackstands and check the front suspension per TSRM.

steering is fine, u dont here it when your turning
u only here it when like if im in 2nd or 1st and jus press the gas slowly or go really fast and then let go of the pedal you here it and the car kinda jerks back.....
so that has to be the ball joints right ?? cuz there loose...

Could also be a broken engine mount if its only happening with engine torque. Do you feel the noise in your shifter?

yea i guess u can say it only happens with engine torque, but only at 1st 2nd and 3rd......i dont feel the noise in the shifter......
its coming in the front somewhere......
engine mount??... so im guessing thats where the engine sits on??
like if i were to press the accellerator and step off it like 10 times in a row....it feels like im breaking something... it does not feel right....
u think it migjt be just something rubbing against each other???
im not sure if its safe to drive....
im scared imma break something and i dont know what it is......

OK, pop your hood, pull the E-Brake and get someone that you REALLY trust to put the car in gear and rev the motor while feathering the clutch. You watch your engine like a hawk while they do this and if it's a mount, you'll see the engine jumping off the broken mount when he revs the motor. The idea is to load and unload the engine continuously, "Wah.... Wah... Wah.." If it's the left mount, it should lift when he romps on it, if it's the right mount, it should lift when the motor decels. If it just bounces around, it's probably both. If it sits tight, we're back to the drawing board. ;)
