suspension and engine

uhmmm....when im driving and back off the accelerator or slow down i here some kind of knocking sound( its kinda loud).... it sounds like it coming from the driver side of the suspension(i think from the back ) when i feel the car going foward like the car jerks back a little then makes a knocking sound....

i had like the strut replaced for the front and back because i had knocking when i turned..... the shock is still stock the piece in the middle of the shock is new....does that make sence
IM A NEWBIE TO SUSPENSION WORK!!! so bare with me lol

im rebuilding my engine i jus got a new gasket and cylinders, new hoses at the top and bottom from hose techniques,stainless steel radiator hose, BOV( turbo xs type s), upper strut bar(megan racing), and a K&N filter ..........everything else is stock, im also getting a new radiator, intercooler, a 3 downpipe and ex system
What other major problems are there for 87 turbo supras for engine and suspension?
whats the best oil to use for the car i heard ppl using like 10w 35 or 45 valvoline or synthetic or moble 1 whats the best???

This may not be the issue but to eliminate it I'd check your exhaust. Go to the back and give it a good shake. It may just be bad hangers or something loose under the car making a knocking sound.

Your shock could have blown finally. Raise your car off the wheels, reach out to the shcocks and see if the move around...
