I've got a slight surging when in boost. just little dead spots about every 800 rpm. I know its running a little rich, I've got a 62-1 turbonetics @ 10 psi right now, lex afm, 550's....

New harness and new AFM, new properly calibrated tps, new 02 sensor, new plugs, wires and coils, and good knock sensors. This is not the car pulling timing, as I've got 100 octane gas in it at the moment, so it shouldn't be pinging any at all. The ignitor is about a year old.

Fuel pressure is good, fuel filter and walbro 255 are new. IGN timing is set at 12 degrees, and the CPS is in good working order.

I have an emanage in the car, but not hooked up to the afm signal until I get all the bugs worked out. I had strange issues in my old harness and had a hard time figuring out if it was the car or the emanage causing problems.

Any suggestions?

Also, car doesn't seem to have as much power as it should with this turbo @ 10 psi. It seemed faster with the ct and 80 psi of compression on one cylinder. This is a fresh motor 8.5:1 comp ratio, with 170 compresion test numbers across the board.

How rich? If you don't have anything to pull some fuel out I would say it's more than a little rich. I ran a lex and 440's and my afr was about perfect at the boost you are at.

I've got an EGT, and I'm not hooking up the emanage until I take the car up to get it tuned.

oh yes, one detail left out. EGT's are 750 degrees C under full boost, with the probe mounted in manifold

Low, but not low enough to be causing surging through richness. Turbo's do have a sweet spot, at 10 psi you're just wasting that turbo, you might as well be running a stock one. Crank it up to 20 and see how the car runs.

I fully intend on it as soon as I get to the dyno to get this thing tuned. I've been to the dyno a few times, but the car wasn't "right" so it was time wasted.

This time, I'm making sure everything is in good working order, and have spent thousands of dollars doing so.

But yes, I do need a wideband.
