I don't think this is possible, but i'll ask any way. I'd like to lower my car, but I'd like to maintain the stock ride qaulity. Would progressive rate springs keep the stock ride quality while driving or would it be stiffer even while I'm just driving around? I dont' mind a tighter ride as I'm cornering though, that would O.K..

Thanks gals/ guys

Eibach Pro Lowering Kit is fairly close to stock ride IMO. Close, but not exact. A little stiffer andd a little tighter.

I can vouch for this. Stock ride comfort with just the right drop. I have these on my '91 and I think it's perfect. Here's a pic so you can see if it's low enough for your liking.

Get Bilstein shocks. Lower your car with the stock springs!
The spring perch has 3 positions. Stock, .5" lower, 1.0" lower.

You would actually increase ride quality going that way. They're only $99/ea too. Not too shabby.

Bingo. All the lowering springs are stiffer than stock, it's to stop you from bottoming out as you have less travel.

I didn't think of that, good call!! I thought, bilsteins or I thought ground control has adjustable sleeves or "spring perch" that you can install on your shocks to lower the car.

Looks real nice, I have Eibach with blisteins on my Hot rod (my Supra) It's a tighter ride for sure. I made this thread because, I'd like to lower my daily driver and maintain the Lexus" ride quality.

Thanks for the replies, I think maybe I'll try "Supra90turbos" way sounds like that may be the answer. I already have the Bilstein/ Eibach combo on my hot rod, it's firmer for sure, which is what I don't want for my daily driver.
Any more segestions anyone, all answers, are welcome.

Thanks ,.. all!

From what I've read on SM, the MkIII suspension has a 'progressive' system built into it. Adding progressive springs to it messes up this system and will produce unpredictable handling characteristics.

<nodding> They just blow through the soft part of the spring at the slightest bump...

Can be unsettling when it loads up all of a sudden ;)

I wouldn't say it messes them up. Eibachs are the only ones I know of that are progressive and it's more like a stiff spring with a helper spring as the top coils sit on each other.
