Suspension Techniques or Whiteline swaybars,
Eibach, RSR, or H&R lowering springs(in order of higher to lower stance), with Bilstein, Koni or KYB struts(in order of higher to lower price).
You'll be happy. You can, of course spend MUCH more on adjustable coilovers(HKS, TEIN, Megan Racing, etc.) for better quality/results.
Others can suggest additional brands.

I come from a land down under
Single biggest improvement will be losing the tubular stock bars and replacing them with quality aftermarket bars.

Suspension settings make the next biggest difference followed by good shocks/springs. (this is assuming the stock shocks aren't totally shagged to begin with)

eibachs and kyb gr-2s here, no complaint, only praise. eventually ill be using front and rear strut bars with upgraded sway bars, but i only allot 2k a year to spend. last year it was buying the car and doing the springs/shocks. this year its making it better than a NA

i think the main problem is the fact that your MkIII is close to 20 years old, thus, so are the suspension parts. a nice set of coilovers, swaybars and some nice tires will help greatly.

My car handles better than my friend's S2000. :dunno:

His car is stock with some poopoo tires.

I have coilovers and Azenis tires. Makes a big difference.

LMAO!
You just said that the Supra handles like Sh!t compared to what you're used to, and then proceed to compare it to a car that is 10+ yrs newer, 500+lbs lighter, and has a complete aftermarket suspension and tire/wheel package... Huh?

Everything that you've put into that MR2 is exactly what you should put into the Supra(or ANY car) to make it handle better.
