whats up folks, i have some questions, need some advice and possibly just brag a little bit. I have had my supra for about 6 months now and it has been a very large thorn in my ass! but i love the car and cant bring my self to get rid of it. so i ran into a nice new job were i rake in the coin and its legal coin! anyway, this winter i want to give the supra an attitude re-adjustment, and i wanted ur advice. heres what i have planned keep in mind i want a suddle exterior basic interior and a nasty drive train with enough power to hold my own and then some! here goes: as for the engine rebuild I want to replace all the bearings with performance bearings, all new gaskets, shot peened rods, and button it all up with arp fasteners and hks metal head gaskets. I want to install a high flow oil pump, and new water pump. custom hardpipes with a hks ssq bov, bic down pipe, apex-i safc, venom 550 injectors, lexus afm, and a afpr. hks turbo timer, hks boost controler, msd plug wires, ngk plugs and all new engine mounts. as far as drive train and suspension i have tein coilovers and i am getting a cusco front strut tower bar and suspension technique sway bars, and spec stage 2 clutch and spec flywheel with an aluminum driveshaft with the 4.30 rear end. as far as parts I already have is a hks intercooler, custom 3" exhaust. And exterior, I am getting a 3 piece spoiler and tinted windows most of this stuff i have ionly have about another 2 grand 2 spend but if i left something out let me know cause i want more of a sleeper than crazy car

If you still have 2g's left, why not upgrade the turbo also? You have the intercooler, and supporting mods. I say either upgrade stock turbo, or spend a bit more and go for sp61gt bolt on goodness. gl with the build.

there are some things you could conseter doing. you could do the 1jz swap. or upgraid your 7m. but if you do the 7m i would suggest a HKS MHG. and replace all the gaskets and seals on the uper end. this could get into $2000 if you have someone else do it for you. of course it would be alot cheaper if you did it yourself (thats what the estment was for me, caz i cant do it myself, and i decited to do the 1j swap) if you do the 7m, there is all kinds of things you could do for power, some you noted already. and Stretch said, work on the turbo side, you could do a good T4 turbo. and make decent power. a decent BOV wouldnt hurt, althow that would take away from the sleeper effect. just some ideas for you to ponder on thow...

1) you couldnt afford to pay someone 2k to do work on a 7m...nor could you do it yourself...BUT youre going to either pay someone 4k to do a 1jz swap or YOURE going to do a 1jz swap? something doesnt add up....

2) most of the things you said he already mentioned....

3) any car with power will need a good aftermarket bov...sleeper or not.... unless of course you LIKE leaky boost....

yeah i want to do the 60-1 compressor wheel upgrade on my stock turbo its just a matter of time before i do that i wanted to make sure the car ran good before i went and did that
