So I used to own an 89 mkIII a few years back. Sold it due to some problems with registration and crap that I didn't want to deal with. Last year I bought an Auto Repair business since I'm a gearhead lol. So I've been looking for a project car. It was a toss up between an mkIII supra and stay with the 7M motor and build it, or a 240sx with an RB swap. Realistically I figured I knew enough about Supras and as for the 240 it would of been a nightmare as a project. So I ended up finding an 89 MkIII that had engine fire. It's getting shipped as we speak and I should expect it next week sometime.
I already have a motor and I tore it down. Ordered CP Pistons .20 over and eagle rods. Tonight I'm ordering all ARP bolts and main bearings and when those come in engine will go to my machinist. Head is staying stock with the exception of a minor port and polish and 3angle valve job.
My goal is to get about 650 RWHP. No sure on what type of turbo I will be getting but I'm definitely going with an AEM standalone. Also I'm doing research on whats the best exhaust manifold out there right now. I'm a little rusty since I haven't been on here for a long time so if you guys can shine some light it will greatly be appreciated.
