I made my own, but those look like they are cut to the same dimensions. I love them, more vibration makes you more in touch with the car. Makes it feel more like a sports car instead of a touring vehicle.

You should be able to make them for a fair bit less, but if you don't want to bother and are willing to pay someone else for the hassle, go for it.

Umm... they are exceptionally easy to make. They are just a short length of barrel stock, cut to the right length, and then drill a hole down the center. The hardest part was finding some high grade bolts, and even that was pretty easy.

I have the dimensions published in the reference section.

Remember that these will only work with the 89+ crossmember - so if you have the square engine mounts, keep looking.

I heard that in 89 there was both types. Will it work with this???
I don't know... do you have the mounts / engine that came out of that car? If so, are they round or square?

You are correct in that the 89 model came with either one or the other. Most of the ones I have seen were round, but that's by no means a guarantee...

yes, you have the pre'89 style (Square) mounts.

what do you mean they were in pieces? when i pulled mine off, the plate that mates up against the bracket on the motor comes right off. (both do) mine still work fine.

The rubber was all dry, cracked, and split down the middle. I just tryed to find them but no good. I think one of them was useable but I figuerd I should just get two new ones. I was just thinking and the motor I'm putting is has round mounts so it should be set then, right

no. you would have to change the crossmember to the 89+ style to get the round mounts to work. if you have square mounts, you have to use the square mounts, you can't just switch to the different style while retaining the existing crossmember.

just source some good pre '89 mounts and you should be set.

Has anyone tried getting some polyurethane and injecting it as solid mount replacements? Not sure how our applications are, but my friend with a 2G Eclipse got a polyurethane tube and injected some in his crappy old mounts and hasnt got wheelhop or anything since

Doesn't work on our cars, motor mounts on FWD vehicles are very different. Imagine a stick poking through a donut - you can impregnate the donut with a stiffer material and it'll work on the FWD car. Ours are a pair of bolts, glued to opposing sides of a rubber dampener... essentially.
