MADE YOU LOOK What's up guys, the name is Jack and I drive a 97 Nissan 240sx (my 5th 240) and an 89 supra with plans of putting a 1jz vvti in the 240sx. It's a bit 4x4 status and weak wheels at the moment but i have nismo struts and tein springs to install for a good ride and will lower it about 2". I've worked at several dealerships and performance shops as a fabricator/mechanic and do all my own work on my car, as most of you do. I have found it rather difficult to get a decent 1jz vvti manifold for a good price, so i'm going to end up having to get the 500 dollar one off ebay and brace it/grind the slag out, i may even re-weld it all. As of now plans are a p6262 billet turbo, 2jz 550 injectors and 93 pump gas. I do plan on making a few copies in higher grade stainless though. Anyways, just thought i'd say hey. Also, yes that is an mk3 supra beside the 240. If any of you have any suggestions/info for me since i'm a noob to the jz's then let me know. Also, yes my mk3 has a blown headgasket, and uses about a quart of water every couple days, so add that to every other one.

Damn 500. Thats a lot.

My 1jz reg was 145 shipped. Thats pretty much the bad part about vvti is parts are harder to come by.

Might be able to get one made for about the same price. Idk from who tho.

I can fabricate my own, but i figure it'll take 20+ hours to design and weld it. I plan on buying this and re-making it out of a higher grade stainless with better welds. Hell, i may buy a regular 1jz manifold and just have a flange machined for 40-50 bucks and cut and re-weld the flange to the runners.

Flanges are way different. reg 1jz is 3 and 3. vvti is 2 1 1 2.

If you got the time and tools to do it your self it would prolly be better. Could also just make/cut/weld everything in 2's or 3's and make a couple of them and sell them. Im sure there is a few people on here looking for vvti manifolds.

i know, like i said i'd have a vvti flange and a regular jz manifold with the flange cut off, then cut the runners and route them to the flange. i'll have to do some more research and have my buddy do a CAD of it.

it would cost around 200-250 instead of 500. it won't look the prettiest towards the flange since it won't be straight completely, but it'd sure be stronger and cheaper.
