Why? Without a very large amount of money invested into a GE, it will never be quick. And even at that point if you did, you'd still get waxed by a lightly modded turbo Supra.

Have fun with the NA.. Extracting all the power is going to be hard. If it were easy there would be more tuned NA's around.

Ok, good luck with that.

I'm not sure how you relate having a turbo Supra to being a conformist. It's just basic logic... Not only are you wrong, you're insulting over half the forum that owns a turbo Supra.

You don't have to lie around here. Not everyone has $20k to drop into their Supra at once. Most of us have modest budgets to spend on our Supras. You don't have to act like you're staying NA because you really believe it's the better option for the Supra when in reality, you just have a limited budget like most everyone else here and can't afford a GTE.

If you have a limited budget and want your Supra to be quick, as you say, a GTE is the best option. You're not going to get very far with a GE. That's the truth. It has nothing to do with being a conformist.

Wesley Snipes said it best in his awesome movie, Blade.

"Some mothaf*cka's always tryin' to ice skate uphill."

YMMV

With all this money spent rebuild an old tired motor, youd be MUCH better off with a 1JZ swap, or even a JDM 7mgte swap.

I bettcha itll be much less money, and much more worth it in the end.

Non-turbo will NEVER be as quick as a turbo'ed supra.

Ask me how i know.

you all are getting me wrong

and its no slap in the face to you all at all

like you said over half of you guys have turbo'd supras
thats great
i wanna be the half that doesnt

as for a rebuild i have connections = like 400 bucks for a rebuild

its not a matter of the funds, its what i have to work with 2 ge motors
all the parts laying everywhere, the funds comes in last

its going to cost some $ but it will get done

and its never a matter of how fast your car is
it takes a good driver to make the car

im a drifter, my car has a steering wheel for a reason, and i plan to make the first n/a MKIII drifter in STL

weight reduction = amazing

im not trying to slap you guys

but dont sit here and tell me that "turbo's the way to go" when i simply inform you im not going turbo

all i asked was for some direction, not someone telling me im wrong for building a certain kind of car

i have own 2 240sx's
its like owing an SR20 and someone wants to be different and go CA
and all your doing is saying how SR is better
"you CA is never going to be as fast as a SR"

ok well thats great if you say your turbo Supra is better than any na motor out there

but dont bash me for trying to make something thats different than that of everyone on here

remember what makes a car move
not the engine
but the driver

and if said driver wants to be different then so be it

asshole

get YOUR shit straight before you start shit

all i asked for was help
not a bunch of fucksteaks who think there the shit
