supra=chaser difference

Chaser 1jz also have front sump oil pan, different motor mounts, and I believe they also come with clutch fan setup not a hydro fan set up, but don't quote me on that.
trust me from experience, spend the money, get a supra 1J and save yourself lots of headaches down the road
heres when i got my chaser motor, you can see the front sump, hydro fan, and the TRC on the throttle

The turbo outlet ypipe is angled more to the left as well, which might matter if you were trying to hook up stock IC pipes... Maybe not but it is different.
i think it is joe, compared to the pipes from the soarer motor i got after that, there was a lil bit of a difference in the angle
They're also different between different year Chasers, JZX81 and JZA70 are very similar...same ECUs/pin out.
like he said 81 has same ecu as a70, 90 has same ecu as soarer, any chaser motor after 96 is vvti, all are front sump duh, hot pipe is the same on 81 and a70, 90 chaser goes out to the right fender, all chaser are traction tb.

I got a chaser too, it had a hydro fan, front sump, and the uber rare r154 extended tail shaft trans..

The mounts from my own experience have different letters stamped on them
jzx81 has L-X and R-X
jzx90 has in-X and ex-X
They are nowhere close to supra or soarer trust me
