So when i was looking at front clips i would see the Aristo 2JZ-GTTE (they probably inserted an extra T) listed at 280hp. So why is the same TT engine in the Aristo 280 when the Supra was 320? ECU programming? What was the difference?

japan's gentleman agreement limits the amount of hp they can advertise, i believe cams, map sensor vs maf sensor, oil pan, turbos are diff, thats all i can think of off the top of my head right now.

other way around, the US supras had mafs, aristos used maps
the aristo's cams were less agressive than the US 2JZ
aristos had 440cc injectors vs the US supras 550cc injectors
aristos used ceramic wheel CT20a turbos, vs the CT12b's on the US 2jz
aristos use the front sump pan, where supras need the rear sump pan.
theres most likely other stuff as well, but as stated prior, its all part of the gentlmen's agreement in japan, everthing over there makes 280hp at most (advertised at least)
