Hmm well i got it running. i drove it around and then i saw the temp rise. im like oooooh fuuuuckkk. so i turn it off. Immediately. it went a bit past the 5/8 mark and i shut it off. so i pull over, open the hood, and i see a shit load of coolant al over my rad. i open my rad cap with my trusty gloves and seriosuly it was liek a water gun... the coolant was shooting out like mad. Could it be just that my system is clogged? I will do a coolant flush tomorrow since im tired after a long day but can this really be a BHG? I know theres apossibility bu dotn crush my hopes. also my rad was has a leak so it can be pressurized. Anyway if it is, im just going JDM considering i have the knock already from prev owner and a BHG woudl be just great... not. any help is appreciated.

There is ZERO benefits of spending the money on a "jdm" block.

They are all the same. LOL

Use that money ( $1000 +/-) and put it twords a rebuild. Your going to need to tear down that "jdm" block anyways. Might as well just use the one you have.

Um....we just did my dad's motor for a little over $1000 USD. seals, gaskets, belts, MHG, rings, rod bearings, main bearings, oil pump, valves, crank polished, block dipped decked and honed, head machined, valve job, rods resized...blah blah blah

Anyway, before you get crazy and jump on the BHG wagon, check the small stuff....thermostat, radiator cap, hoses, radiator, etc...

EDIT: a JDM will cost you about $1000 shipped and should be torn down and freshedned up anyway. I went with a JDM and it didn't run good...at all. Now I have to do it allll over again...kinda. I'm building/rebuilding it.

Umm, clear this up for me. Does this mean your radiator has a leak? Then no it will not hold pressure, and if it will not hold pressure it IS going to over heat.

Also, if you take the cap off of a hot radiator, of course stuff is going to spray everywhere. I don't see where this automatically means you have a BHG. That is quite a jump.

At this point I don't see anything in your post to immediately suggest that you have a BHG. Unless I'm missing something, there is still to many possibility's to immediately narrow it down to BHG.
